August 13, 2015 Regular Meeting and Potluck

Meeting called to order by Bill MacLeod, Secretary/Treasurer at 5:09 pm with the pledge of allegiance. In attendance: Bud Rubeck, President & Julie, Ace Griffaw, Vice President & Joan, Bill MacLeod, Secretary/Treasurer, Andrea Krygoski, Patricia Dudley, Carl & Jeanne Kubley, Len & Joy Heinlein, Cheryl Cofrin and Lynne Rice.

The minutes of the July 9th meeting were read. Moved and seconded by Andrea Krygoski and Joan Griffaw and approved by all.

The report was moved and seconded by Cheryl Cofrin and Joy Heinlein and approved by all.

Old Business:

Andrea reported a card was sent to Fred Hodgeman and thank you cards are in the process of being mailed to merchants who supported Chinese Raffle.

Bud has spoken to a cement company to view neighbor’s access to club’s backyard, when in town, to access whether their truck will be able to fit opening. Will report back. Once okayed the shed space under roof will be cleared and cement placed.

Anderson family gathering is scheduled for the 22nd (3:00 pm – 8:00 pm).

New Business:

To protect backyard septic system Bud will put up a chain to close vehicle access to backyard. Neighbor on left side of clubhouse has given permission for limited access to rear of building.

Elk Foundation has requested use of clubhouse for Bugling Days on September 12th if inclement weather requires moving picnic from Day Lake. Approved by all.

The DNR has requested use of the clubhouse for an all day public informative meeting (10:00 am – 8:00 pm), September 30, 2015, on new & proposed recreational regulations. Approved by all.

Rick Guthman has requested use of our picnic tables for this Saturday. Approved by all.

Bud proposed giving Don Eder $100 for the one time use of his dumpster. Moved by Lynne Rice and seconded by Andrea Krygoski and approved by all.

Ace proposed we investigate leveling backyard adding fill and perhaps terracing at slope to the lake. Widening an open area lakeside was also discussed in conjunction with this proposed project. Len Heinlein recommended Bud and Ace work out a plan and present to club with estimated costs.

There being no further business to conduct Andrea Grykoski moved to adjourn seconded by Cheryl Cofrin at 5:40 pm. All agreed.
