Spider Lake has a well deserved reputation as a good fishing lake with a maximum depth of approximately 25 feet and 103 acres. The lake is home to a variety of species including bluegill, crappie, smallmouth bass and walleye. Whether you fish from the dock, leisurely explore the lake by boat or relax in the sun in the grassy yard, you have the room to roam. The large wraparound deck offers another fine spot to relax in the sun and you can enjoy the breezes blowing through the screened in porch that connects via sliding doors with the living room.
The generous interior floor plan provides ample room for everyone with its open kitchen complete with plenty of countertop work space and island, stove, oven, full size refrigerator/freezer and dishwasher. The adjacent dining room table offers a lovely lakeview. The kitchen and dining area flows into the living room anchored by an impressive stone fireplace. While you can certainly squirrel yourself away at this home, the location is ideal for making day trips to nearby Copper Falls State Park in Mellen, the south shore of Lake Superior including the communities of Ashland and Bayfield, Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, and the attractions of Hayward, Wisconsin. There are numerous hiking, biking, fall color tour, ATV and snowmobile trails nearby as well as restaurants, convenience stores, golf courses and shopping.
Additional sleeping space is available in the spacious loft bedroom above the garage. The loft is connected to the house via an elevated walkway and features two bunk beds, double bed and enough space to truly spread out and unpack for your stay!
