77 Sunset Strip – Lower Clam Lake
77 Sunset Strip is a newly remodeled 2 bedroom, 1 bath four season cabin with central heat and air conditioning overlooking beautiful Lower Clam Lake and its wooded shoreline within the Chequamegon National Forest northeast of Hayward, WI. Located on Highway 77 3 miles west of Clam Lake, Wisconsin, this cozy cabin was beautifully refurbished in 2010. The open interior with knotty pine walls and ceilings is open, bright and offers a picturesque view of the lake. With Cable TV, Wi-Fi internet, central heat and AC, this cabin offers the vacationer comfortable year round accommodations!
The kitchen has all new appliances including a full size refrigerator with freezer, dishwasher, 4 burner gas stovetop, oven, coffeemaker, microwave and plenty of functional countertop space and cabinets for easy meal preparation. When it is time for a meal, you can gather around the dining room table and sit 4-6 people. A comfortable living room area flows off the kitchen/dining area and offers a scenic view of the Northwoods through sliding, full length patio doors. The overstuffed furniture makes a great setting to relax or watch TV. The flat panel TV with satellite television is wall mounted and conveniently swivels to allow viewing throughout the interior of the cabin. Phone service is free covering all 50 states. The well insulated cabin is cozy in cool weather and is air-conditioned for the warmer seasons.
The full bath has a shower/tub, sink and Whirlpool washer/dryer. Each of the 2 bedrooms has a ceiling fan overhead. One bedroom has a double bed in it while the second bedroom has a bunk bed (twin over double).
Sliding patio doors lead out onto a lakeside deck offering elevated, westerly views of the lake and the relatively undeveloped national forest lakeshore opposite the cabin. Steps descend down to the lakeshore and a private dock. Enjoy the view from the bench at the end of the dock – depending on the time of year you may hear elk bugling, loons calling, grouse drumming, the sharp whistling of ospreys overhead or the splash of a rising fish. The rental includes use of a row boat and paddle boat which are great ways to explore the lake.
Lower Clam Lake has a public boat landing and a variety of fish species to pursue including musky, walleye, crappie and panfish. At 230 acres, a variety of water activities are possible on Lower Clam Lake.
This cabin rental’s location is also convenient to public hunting lands, upland game bird trails, snowmobile trails, ATV routes, cross country ski trails, and fall color tours. The lake cabin is also a perfect base camp for day trips to Hayward, Bayfield and Ashland or explorations of nearby Copper Falls State Park, West Fork of the Chippewa River and Lake Namakagon. You can also snowmobile from the cabin!
