It’s Saturday and it’s gorgeous outside, the mercury is settled at a cool 70 degrees. Like I said it’s gorgeous!! But, this coming week we are in for some heat and storms, that’s okay as long as they don’t cause a lot of damage. We’ve all had enough of that for a long time….

Our Sincerest Sympathies go out the family of Lois Peterson. Lois and her husband Jim bought Holter’s  house a few years ago. They enjoyed their time in Clam Lake and Lois will be missed by all those who knew her. Our Sympathies to Jim and his family….

Speedy recovery to Rick Guthman after his recent shoulder surgery. We all wish him well….

Happy 80th Birthday to Bob Fanella who celebrates his special day on August 13th…..

The next Clam Lake Community Potluck Dinner/meeting will be held on August 11th at 5pm. Meeting will be first, then dinner, then “HIGH STAKES” Bingo. So, put that day aside and come join your friends and neighbors for a fun evening….

The Elk Country ATV Club will be holding their “annual” Brat feed on Saturday, August 13th from 10 am/ 4pm at the side yard of the Elkhorn Lodge in downtown Clam Lake. Also, don’t forget to get your raffle tickets at the local “watering holes” in Clam Lake. If you have any questions you can call Rick at 715-794-2298…..

In a few more weeks we will be seeing that big yellow school bus! Where did the summer go? The days seem to be going faster and faster.

Pretty soon it will be the Labor Day Picnic in Glidden and by the way they still need a few more hands to help make this event a big success…
