Clam Lake News & Events

Happy Labor Day!

Wow! Where did August go? I think we all blinked and it was gone, the same thing happened to July and June..

Anyway..summer is winding down and there are sure signs that Fall is on it’s heels and coming fast..There is color in the maple trees and the birch leaves are turning yellow and falling off the trees as fast as they turn..and some people have even seen a caterpillar or two.. So, as we throw that extra blanket on the bed this week, instead of turning on the heat..let’s all hope we get a alot of days 70’s to warm us…

This weekend is RMEF Bugle Days Rendezvous in Clam Lake at the Day Lake Picnic Area. It starts out on Friday 9/8 with a Potluck Supper (Supper is between 5 & 6) with DNR representative Susan on hand to answer your questions.. Then on Saturday 9/9 is the Dinner at 6pm..you better come early to get a seat! Then on Sunday 9/10 is the Breakfast at 9am…

All these events take place at the Day Lake Picnic Area (entrance off County M) and you MUST call Jennifer Nieland to make reservations because they need a headcount for food…Her #1-920-434-1229 you can leave a message for her with your info…

The next Clam Lake Community Potluck Dinner/Meeting will be held on Thursday, September 14th at 5pm..So, bake up a tasty treat and come join your friends and neighbors for a fun evening and don’t forget about “Hollywood Game Night”

Last week I put in the last tidbit about the dedication on St. George’s Chapel..There were some very important people left out of the 1999 article about the 50yrs. of St. George’s and the 1949 dedication..The six Mass Servers were not mentioned who were a part of the dedication and I’m searching for their names..I have three but, I would like all six so, if anyone could help me out I would great appreciate it. Thank you

Until next time..Enjoy the subtle changes around you and Be Kind!
