Good Morning Readers!

It’s 6:30 am and a little chilly on Lower Clam Lake, The mercury is settled in at 41 degrees. I guess Fall is defiantly here. The last few days have been beautiful with temps in the high 60’s and low 70’s. But look out Saturday Applefest goers as the are predicting the mercury to only get as high as 48 degrees…..

This time of year the weather is so unpredictable expect rain showers on Wednesday and the rest of the week looks pretty good except for that 48 that is….

There have been a few happenings, here they are:

The next Potluck Dinner/meeting will be held on Thursday, October 13th (not the 14th). Everyone is always welcome to come, there’s always plenty of food, so if you don’t have a dish to pass it’s ok, Come anyway! The meeting starts at 5pm so, if you would like to know what’s happening in our little join us…..

Speedy recovery wishes go out to Dave Frasch on his new knee. Keep up your PT with a smile! We all hope you are out and about soon….

The Cofrin house was full to the brim as sister Jill Ferrie from Iowa and her faithful companion Gus came to the Northwoods for a few days of R&R and also, to take a road trip to Milwaukee with Mama Joy… Cher and Len held down the fort and tried to keep Gus from eating everything that wasn’t nailed down…

Saturday was a perfect day for a wedding and that was the case as Joel Eder from Clam Lake married Syler Dural from Butternut at the Lutheran Church in Gliidden. There was a big crowd at the wedding and we all wish the happy couple a long life together…..

Pete Heinritz and his brother Max, his nephew Sully and son’s Ryan and Richard recently spent a few days at the cabin. The boys enjoyed fishing and a little rest and relaxation….

The Clam Lake Junction is now buying boughs, inquire within….

While in Hayward I ran into our past Postlady, Barb Pankratz doing some shopping. Barb said “Tell all the Clam Lakers hello and she sure misses us!”. I was sure nice to see Barb and we miss her too!

A belated Happy Birthday to Ron Vecchie who turned the big 60 on September 30th!
