Jan. 11, 2016: The Ashland County snowmobile trails are OPEN and in fair to good condition! Most of the Ashland County trails have been packed but not all have been groomed.
Jan. 11, 2016: The Ashland County snowmobile trails are OPEN and in fair to good condition! Most of the Ashland County trails have been packed but not all have been groomed.
As of Thursday morning, Jan. 7, the Ashland County trails had been packed but not groomed. However, with the additional 3-4 inches of snowfall the area has received since then and more snow on the way, grooming operations will likely resume.
The Ashland County snowmobile trails are MOSTLY OPEN and in fair condition! The Tri-County Recreational Corridor has been groomed and the gates to the Ashland County snowmobile trails have been opened.

With the new year here we have many things to look forward to and one such thing is the Elk Country Atv Club’s Annual Ice Fishing Contest but, due to the lack of ice the contest was moved to January (Saturday) 30th at 8 am sharp! Hopefully we’ll have enough ice by then….

As we ring in the New Years with family and friends it’s hard to believe 2015 will end. 2016 will bring many things like wealth and health and the prospect of Spring!

It’s hard to believe that this is the end of December already, winter doesn’t even begin until the 21st, which is Monday of this week. There is some snow on the ground and the lakes have some ice on them but, they sure aren’t safe enough to drive on for ice-fishing yet!
