Ashland County Snowmobile Report for February 1, 2016
The Ashland County snowmobile trails are OPEN, groomed and in poor to fair condition.
All of the Ashland County trails were groomed at the end of last week. However, with the unseasonably warm weather the area experienced over the weekend with temperatures climbing into the 40s, the trails have definitely deteriorated.
They are currently still passable, but riders should expect muddy conditions and be alert for open water on some of the trails.
The Tri-County Recreational Corridor from Ashland west to Superior is currently being groomed three times a week and is in good condition.
The Ashland area is expected to receive 3-6 inches of snow over the next couple of days which should improve trail conditions.
NOTE: A temporary detour route has been posted on Trail 9 from Ashland to Sanborn.
