September 9th 2021
Meeting was called to order by President Bud Rubeck with 19 people attending. The Pledge of Allegiance was said.
The Minutes of the August 12th meeting were read and accepted.
The Treasurer’s Report was read and accepted.
Old Business:
October 6th, 7th and 8th have been set aside for a work bee at the Club. At that time, the new flooring for the kitchen and bathrooms will be installed and the outhouses and flower beds will be dismantled.
Bud will research the handicap railings for the bathrooms so those can be installed at the same time.
Display Case – Lynne stated that the Lumber Yard in Glidden has a glass display case that they are willing to donate to the Club. The only problem with the case is it is missing the top glass panel. Bud will check with Jim Killinger at the Lumber Yard as to size and the Club will check into purchasing a top panel from Hayward Glass.
New Business:
Lynne introduced our newest Club member – Paws Filter. She donned her headdress and took a bow to the assembled crowd.
Scholarship – Lynne has communicated with the Guidance Counselor at the Chequamegon School and we should be hearing from the scholarship recipients soon. They are Madison Mertig and Dustin Hagmann of Glidden. The Clam Lake Community Scholarship is a $1,000 award given to Clam Lake and Glidden High School graduates that meet the criteria. $500 is awarded at the beginning of each semester during their first year of school upon receipt of their class notifications.
Elk Fest – There was discussion as to the road closure of Clam Lake Road during Elk Fest which will be held on Saturday, September 25th.
Winner of the door prize was Kathy Arias. Kim Filter won the H Bingo prize with Michael Fabrizi winning the fill your card prize. Congrats to them!
