Old Business
Out reach – Alice Filter reported that she had sent out one card since the previous meeting.
New Business
It was noted that the maintenance of the AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) owned by the Community Club and housed in the Clam Lake Post Office has been transferred from Jack McGregor to Makala Reukema. Thanks go out to Jack for his years of maintaining the device and for local EMT Makala Reukema for taking on the responsibility.
Spring Fling – It was noted that a private group will be using the Clam Lake Community Center to host a party known as the Spring Fling on April 6th. Although privately put on, all are welcome to attend.
Sign Roof – Lea Justice inquired about putting a new roof over the Clam Lake Community Center sign. This had previously been discussed prior to the collapse of the old building. It was agreed that this would be taken care of before the next meeting.
Evacuation plan – Jan Sharp asked if there was in place an emergency evacuation plan in case of forest fire. Chad Mess commented that Emergency Services would notify residents if such a situation presented itself. On that note, it was decided to test the Fire Hall pump. Lea Justice also offered to ask the Forestry to give a talk on Forest Fire information.
Land Line – Chuck Allison asked about a land line being installed in case of emergency. It was noted that there is a land line in the Fire Hall that has been disconnected. It was deemed unnecessary, due to cost and the fact that if a fire were happening or other emergency, land lines would be down.
Kathy Arias won the door prize and the Fill Your Card Bingo. Congrats go out to her!
Meeting adjourned.
