October 10th, 2019

The meeting was called to order and the Pledge of Allegiance was said. 19 people were in attendance.

The Minutes of the September 12th meeting were read and accepted.

The Treasurer’s Report was read and accepted.

Old Business:

Outreach Cards – Tom Dezotell reported that the only card sent was a get well card to his sister Mary Dezotell whom had surgery.

Autumn Party – Beth Allison is still on track to have a musical evening at the Club on Friday October 25th beginning with a Pot Luck at 5:30 followed by music from 6 to 8.

New Business:

Helipad: Bud reported that work continues at the Town of Gordon recycling area on the proposed helipad. This has a projected finish date of spring 2020 or sooner. The land has been cleared with gravel coming from the Forest Service. Pilots will meet with Bud to go over their needs. Questions were raised as to what hospitals this service would take people to.

Park retaining wall: Part of the retaining wall at the park was hit by an unknown vehicle and is need of repair. Bud will take care of this.

Cemetery Sign: Dan Allen, from the Town of Gordon, was present to ask for $125 towards a permit to move the present cemetery sign. The old sign is rotting and a new one is being made by the Town Clerk’s husband. It will be placed in a different location so a permit is needed due to the river being so close. Bud said he will talk to Josh Broley the zoning administrator about waiving the cost of the permit.

History: Lynne showed an example of the binders she has compiled for the Clam Lake Exhibit in the Glidden Area Historical Museum.

Brian Bowman won the door prize with Carl Kubley winning the fill your card Bingo prize.

Meeting adjourned.
