Clam Lake News & Events

It’s Sunday evening and what a beautiful day it is! The mercury on my thermometer is stuck on 66 degrees and we’ve had a few raindrops but, not much just enough to make the deck wet and then it stopped. It’s been a beautiful week and hopefully they will continue as we welcome the first day of summer on June 20th…. It’s going to be a welcome sight.

If you missed the last potluck, you really missed out on some great food, better company and killer bingo. The next Potluck Dinner/meeting will be held on Thursday, July 14th at 5pm. You should really attend this one. It will be a recap of our fireworks and other goings on in the community. If you don’t attend you can’t complain you don’t know what’s going on….

The Clam Lake Fireworks display will be held on Sunday, July 3rd. The doors will opens at 8pm with sloppy joes and beverages and popcorn. We all hope you can attend this will be a bigger and better display…..

St. George’s Chapel has opened it’s doors for the summer with mass at 6pm. Last week there were about twenty five people in attendance, thru the summer it’s get pretty packed so, get there a little early so you can get a good seat….

The turtles are out laying their eggs now so, please slow down as they are crossing the road and along they roadsides… and please leave them alone as they are laying and don’t dig up their eggs, it’s not funny to harass the wildlife!

There have been fawn and bear sightings the last couple of weeks. Watch out for those on the roads too, they can cause a lot of damage to your car and not to mention injure or kill the animal. We sure have a lot to look out for when we are driving so, be cautious and SLOW DOWN!!

Enjoy Nature’s Tapestry…. Until next time…be kind!
