Lynne explained that the scholarship is a $1,000 award that is given in two installments – the Fall semester and Spring semester both of which the students have to present their class notifications for to be awarded.
History – Dennis Booth presented a couple of Clam Lake history items he has acquired. One was a postcard image of the Chippewa River circa 1950 and a wall thermometer and humidstat given out as an advertisement for the Chippewa Tavern by Ray and Evy Swaggerty whom ran the The Chippewa Tavern from 1968 until 1980. The slogan on it says, “In Any Kind of Weather Try The Chippewa”. We thank Dennis for his contribution to Clam Lake’s history displays.
Park Wall – Bud reported that he has been checking with Jeff Landis (landscaper) about putting in a new retaining wall at the Park. The wall was damaged by the plow this past winter and is in need of updating so will be redone. The flower beds will also be revamped by locals.
AC – Bud is also putting the finishing touches on having A/C installed and the main floor will be refinished and buffed.
Dennis Booth was the lucky winner of the door prize with Kim Filter winning the Fill Your Card Bingo prize. Congrats to them!
