OLD BUSINESS
There was no old business.
NEW BUSINESS
Fireworks: there were 3 options brought up.
1) hold the fireworks for next year. The motars would have to be held in a bunker. Derek would take care of the transport to the bunker in Hurley.
2) hold them on Labor Day. We would have to move our insurance rider to cover the beer. The beer license would be another $5. With this option we would still need to bunker the motars.
3) Elkfest on Sept 9th. It was brought up that the Elkfest has been rained on every year.
Jerry made a motion to hold it next year, 2nd by Georgie – passed. Jerry suggested that we build more racks for the pre-loaded motars.
Electricity at the park: it costs us $500 per year. Before we spend more money, we would want the kiosk updated. We are still waiting on the RMEF on the update. There was a motion to cut the power to the park. It was seconded and accepted.
Memberships: West Fork Water Association, RMEF, CL Forest Riders and Elk Country ATV. Motion to pay all was accepted.
Renting the picnic tables was brought up as Ransom’s has used them every year, at no cost, for their anniversary celebration. We do it to support the local businesses.
Fireworks signs – We have 2 signs in relatively good condition but, they do need updating and new wording. Jane and Dave will take care of 1 sign to see how it looks and the cost, which includes covering the signs with vinyl.
Our next meeting will be August 13th at 5:00 pm.
The drawing was won by Cindy Buryanek.
Meeting adjourned at 5:34 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Alice Filter
