Hello Clam Lake!
Well, this week saw winter taking a bit of a nosedive as temps climbed into the upper 40’s. Considering the week began bitterly cold, it was a nice reprieve. Am sure the hunters enjoyed it as did the rest of us!
Lots of holiday themed activities in this week’s news. Time to drag out those jingle bells and start spreaking some holiday cheer!
ELK ON THE SHELF: Once again, beginning the first week in December, the Clam Lake Junction will be featuring their “Elk on the Shelf” contest. Every day a small holiday themed elk figurine will be hidden in the public spaces of the Clam Lake Junction. If you are lucky enough to find it, your name will be entered into a contest to be the winner of a $200 gift certificate. Happy elk hunting!!!!
COMMUNTIY CLUB CHRISTMAS PARTY: On Thursday, December 15th, the Clam Lake Community Club will be hosting their annual community Christmas party at the Club beginning around 5:00. A ham will be provided with people being asked to bring sides or desserts to accompany the ham. There will also be a $15 gift exchange (if you wish to participate) that should be labeled man or woman. Master Bingo Caller Ace Griffaw will once again lead us in some rousing games of Christmas Bingo. Time to enjoy the spirit of the season and mingle with friends and neighbors. Hope to see you there!
ON THAT NOTE: Decorating for the Community Club Christmas party will take place on Thursday, December 8th beginning at 10:00 am. Anyone interested in helping is welcome!
SAVE THE DATE – UGLY SWEATER CONTEST AND SANTA: An Ugly Sweater Contest will be held Saturday, December 10th at Ransoms Place. Santa is also scheduled to make a stop there to visit with the kids and pass out goodies from 4:00 to 6:00. People are encouraged to bring a dish to share and if they wish to participate in the gift exchange they are asked to bring an (up to) $25 gift (adults only). Time to get into the spirit, get your silly on and enjoy some holiday fun!!
MEAT RAFFLE: In conjunction with the Ugly Sweater Contest and Santa’s visit on December 10th the Clam Lake Forest Riders will be hosting a meat raffle at Ransom’s place running from 3:00 to 5:00. Time to come out and support this hard working club and win some delicious meat from Rondeau’s of Cable in the process. Looks like Ransoms will be the place to be on December 10th with something for everyone!
