The meeting was called to order by President Bud Rubeck with eleven people attending. The Pledge of Allegiance was said.

The Minutes of the July 12th meeting were read and accepted.

The Treausrer’s Report was read and accepted.

Old Business:

Outreach cards: Andrea sent two Outreach cards. One being a sympathy card to the Jim Lambert family and a get well card to Dolores Lambert after recent neck surgery.

Cemetery Crosses: Andrea said they are almost done.

Downtown Sign – Lynne reported she did not have time and will try to work on it in the future.

Elk Q&A will be held on August 18th 9 to 11 a.m.

New Business:

A Memorial Plaque was requested and made for Wayne and Shirley Lockard.

Lynne asked in ensuing years that a roster of helpers for the 4th of July be given prior to the event.

There will be a meeting held at St. George’s in September to address volunteers to help with cleaning and maintenance. Andrea will have the date in paper.

Lynne and Kate Fleury are beginning the process to submit a nomination for St. George’s to be put on the National Historic Registry, thus, protecting its future.

The Glidden Area Museum will have their Grand Opening over the Labor Day weekend at the Glidden Fair. All are encouraged to attend. The Clam Lake exhibit will be on display.

It was decided to split the $20 door prize so $10 will go towards the Fill Your Card Bingo.

Bud discussed the insurance for the building. He is working on lowering the premiums. Will report more on this at a later date when he has more information.
